Much has happened since the last post in 2018

Enjoying the view of our new oldhouse

Since the last post in 2018:
We returned to Pacific Grove on September 1, 2018.
September 2, Susie went to Sierra Madre to help Anthony with her father because he was in the hospital with pneumonia and soon to be released with 24 hour care. Once Dad was home with 24 hour care, Susie went to San Diego County to finish settling affairs of her brother who had passed away in July. Dad passed away at the end of September and the rest of that year went by in an emotional blur with memorial services and settling the affairs of both Susie's dad and brother.

2019: Decided to remodel the family home in Sierra Madre.  First the bathrooms, then the rest of the house. At this point potential retirement home base.
No abroad trip this year - went to Louisiana for a visit to the Berteaux Property with immediate family.

2020: Finish remodel on 367 W. Highland Ave., start remodel on 377 W. Highland Ave. (next door) for Anthony.  Work is slow because...
Pandemic looms it's ugly head and we are all sheltering in place (February) for the next 12 months?

2021: Work is finished by January 2021 - Anthony moves into his New Old house.

Our New Oldhouses

Pandemic has slowed, there's a new normal - things back to running like normal with masks and social distancing.

Time to travel? Yes...

ISCSC is planning a conference Sept. 2-4 in Bucharest, Romania.  We are going, John is the program director.  After the conference we will fly to Italy and stay there until the end of November.

Now the 2021 Big Adventure(s) will begin...
