Week 13 - December 26 to December 29

 

The last week of the 2022 French Adventure!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As I woke today, January 1, 2023
I looked out to see my favorite view from our bedroom.
"My Sierra Madre Mountains"
Today, it is the start of the New Year 2023 and

I see a beautiful, clear view of my mountains
with the puff of cloud resting in a vale
New, fresh air to breath with residue
of the rain still trying to renew

After this last week of our 2022 French Adventure(s)
this view brought me home.

 

And, now the chronicles of the last days in France...

Monday, December 26

It's not raining, but we still can't use the courtyard, it's wet.
We do want to take a walk into "town" today.

We walked down to the Train Station and 

now are walking back to Blvd des Pyrenees

The sun is out!
We are happy

On our way home,
I see the house I want

Tuesday, December 27

Today we make our last grocery/supply trip to Carrefour City.

Then we start packing for the trip home.

Our last meal in Pau, we share with Christie and David. 

Cassoulet and salad in our little apartment.

There are only 3 chairs in the apartment,
so John gets to eat at the couch with the ballet dancer.

Wednesday, December 28

We leave by train to Paris at 6:25 pm, so we say goodby with lunch near Christie and David's place

At 5:45 pm Dominique and Reynald pick us up to
collect the keys and take us to the Gare.

We get there in plenty of time.

It should be here any minute

4.5 hours to Paris

We get to the Moxy
at midnight 30

Thursday, December 29

We are at Charles de Gaulle Airport

And we're off!

Friday, December 30

We wake up to a familiar view

Something new for our home was at the post office...
